This special breakfast showcases the incredible talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of the young people participating in the Young Business Leaders Program, an initiative designed to empower high school students to develop real-world business skills and bring their ideas to life.

About the Young Business Leaders Program

The Young Business Leaders Program was launched to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders across the Logan region. Through a series of workshops, mentorship sessions, and practical projects, students learn the fundamentals of starting and running a business.

Throughout the program students:

• Develop their own business ideas
• Learn skills in branding, marketing, pricing and customer research
• Receive mentorship from business leaders and facilitators
• Work collaboratively with students from schools across the region
• Build real-world skills in innovation, leadership and pitching

Students take their ideas from concept to reality during the program, often launching small prototype businesses using seed funding and practical learning activities.

Since the program began, it has already engaged more than 150 students and supported the development of over 70 new business ideas from schools across the Beenleigh and Logan region.

The Breakfast Showcase

The Young Business Leaders Breakfast marks the exciting finale of the program.

During this special event, the 2026 participants will take to the stage to:

• Showcase their business concepts
• Pitch their ideas to the local business community
• Demonstrate what they have learned during the program
• Inspire the audience with their creativity and entrepreneurial thinking

The event brings together students, educators, business leaders, elected representatives, and community supporters to celebrate the achievements of these emerging entrepreneurs.

Award Presentations

At the conclusion of the presentations, winners will be announced across several categories, celebrating the students who have demonstrated outstanding innovation, teamwork, creativity, and business potential.

Attendees may also have the opportunity to participate in selecting a People’s Choice Award, recognising the business idea that resonates most strongly with the audience.
